Wonderful World Movie: the awesome experience!

I decided not to bother posting some blog updates here this summer but with this scoop on my hands, why can't I?


Why you say this movie is so promising?


The casts are awesome, the director was awesome, the story was awesome...and what awes me more is that these actors/actresses are not really acting pros, they're just seiyuus(voice actors) in reality! Yeah, they do the voices of the characters we squeal...and now we can see them acting live!

The film's story poses the possibility that all of humanity, without exception, live in two worlds of existence: the real world and a second world known as "Hem." Humans live their lives in Hem when they sleep in the real world. Hidden in each person is another life of which he or she has no recollection of, except for nightmares which are soon forgotten upon waking up. However, there a few rare individuals who are aware of the existence of Hem and the curious consequences it has on the real world.

I'm a fan of Namikawa himself - he did some voices of some characters you won't expect he can do it smoothly (and wonder 'is that his voice?'). He won Beast Supporting Actor in the recent 4th Seiyuu Awards (I made a blog about this event here) and now he will having this debut movie under his direction! He's simply...amazing ^^.

Also the seiyuus are amazing too! Most of them made this movie their debut appearance as live actors/actresses. Isn't that awesome?

The film will open in Japan on June 19, after a special June 12 event. That means...have to wait for its DVD release to be subbed and be available streaming online *sigh
